Content Principles at Jarrabt

Jarrabt is a space for sharing real personal experiences with honesty and respect. We believe in:

  • Honesty — experiences must be real and about something you actually tried
  • Respect — content respects others, both individuals and businesses
  • Personal freedom — you are free to express your opinion candidly
  • Privacy — content respects others' privacy

Acceptable Content

  • Real personal experiences with products, services, places, or professionals
  • Honest, objective ratings that express your view
  • Personal notes that help you remember your experience
  • Photos of places or products (without infringing others' privacy)
  • Professional recommendations for practitioners you have dealt with

Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • False or misleading content — fake experiences, fabricated ratings
  • Offensive content — insults, bullying, ethnic/religious/gender discrimination
  • Defamation — personal accusations against individuals or businesses without basis
  • Sexual or indecent content
  • Violence and hate — incitement to violence, hate speech
  • Sensitive religious content — offensive or extremist religious views are prohibited
  • Advertising and marketing — contact numbers, promotional links, marketing offers
  • Others' personal data — ID numbers, phone numbers, precise addresses
  • Content violating Saudi law — anything that violates the Kingdom's regulations
  • Intellectual property infringement — copying content from other sources

Automatic Filtering

We use an automatic filtering system that scans content at publish time to detect:

  • Offensive or inappropriate words (500+ words in our database)
  • Sensitive religious terms
  • Advertising and promotional language
  • Phone numbers and ID numbers
  • Email addresses and social-handle links
  • Bank IBAN strings

If the system detects violating content, publishing is blocked with a clear explanation of the reason.

Reporting System

Any registered user can report violating content:

  • Tap the report button on the experience page
  • Choose a reason from the list (offensive, misleading, advertising, privacy, other)
  • Maximum: 3 reports per hour per user (to prevent malicious reporting)
  • Reporting requires registration (we do not accept reports from unregistered visitors)

Automatic hiding: if an experience receives 3 or more reports, it is automatically hidden from the public until reviewed.

Content Review

The Moderation Team reviews reported content and makes one of the following decisions:

  • Keep the content — if it is found not to violate the policy
  • Remove the content — if it clearly violates the policy
  • Suspend the account — in serious or repeated cases

Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was suspended in a way you believe is incorrect:

  • Contact us by email within 30 days
  • Explain the reason for your objection
  • We will review the case and respond within 14 business days

Third-Party Privacy

When mentioning a person or business in your experience:

  • The business or shop name must be public (listed in their physical or virtual location)
  • Do not mention individuals' full names without their consent (except for professionals offering their services commercially under their own name)
  • Do not publish photos of individuals without their consent
  • Do not publish individuals' personal contact numbers
